Kropian — Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account: email, username, display name, password (hashed), date of birth (for 13+ check, not shown to others).
• Content: messages, servers, friends you add.
• Device & usage: IP, browser, device, logs, crash reports.
• Voice: we don't store voice content; device enumeration for Input/Output selection stays local unless you grant mic permission.

2. How we use it

• Create and secure your account, verify you are 13+.
• Operate chat, friends, servers, and keep Kropian safe.
• Improve and fix the service, and communicate with you.

DOB is only for age verification and is never public.

3. Sharing

We don't sell your data. We share only with service providers who help run Kropian (hosting, email, analytics) under contracts, when required by law, or to protect safety.

4. Cookies & similar

We use localStorage/cookies for login (`kropian_user`, `kropian_avatar`) and preferences. You can clear them in your browser, but you'll be logged out.

5. Retention & security

We keep account data while your account is active and delete it when you delete your account. We use reasonable security measures, but no system is 100% secure.

6. Your choices & rights

• Delete your account anytime in Settings → Delete Account.
• Request access, correction, or deletion: [email protected].
• Depending on your region (e.g., EU/UK) you may have GDPR rights; contact us to exercise them.

7. Children

Kropian is for 13+. We block under-13 signups (“You have to be 13+ to join Kropian.”) and delete their data. If you believe a child under 13 is using Kropian, email [email protected].

7b. Age verification

If we suspect you are under 13, we may require verification. If you are 16-18, we may ask for a passport, student ID, or driver's license to confirm you meet the 13+ requirement. Documents are used only for verification and deleted after review. Failure to verify may result in suspension.

8. International

We process data where we and our providers operate. By using Kropian you consent to processing in those locations.
